“The Best” journal listed Michael as one of the most promising commercial litigation attorneys in Israel and he is consistently praised in international attorney ranking guides such as the Legal 500.

Michael specializes in the commercial/civil litigation of a wide range of complex disputes with values of hundreds of millions of shekels. He has been involved, inter alia, in claims relating to real estate, infrastructure and corporate and administrative law. He has extensive experience gleaned from hundreds of appearances before all legal instances in Israel, including at the Supreme Court and in arbitrations and mediations, and also provides legal advice on all aspects of  infrastructure tenders, starting out from the stage of applying to compete in a tender through to providing representation in administrative petitions, managing contractor claims in respect of all kinds of construction and infrastructure projects (BOT, PPP or PFI), and conducting complex litigation relating to technological projects and disputes of an intricate financial and accountancy nature.

Michael is known to his clients for his reliability, and for successfully resolving sensitive and complex issues, both in and out of court. His professional approach is based on a total mastery of all the legal techniques required in dispute resolution together with a full awareness of all aspects of each client’s activities. Michael adopts a wide perspective and thereby pinpoints what is involved for his clients in each situation, whether as their litigator or as their ongoing consultant.

Adv. Oiknine’s clients come from all commercial sectors of the Israeli economy, including some of the largest real estate and infrastructure companies in Israel.

Inter alia, Michael has represented and provided support to an international company which is among the world’sleading defense industry enterprises, in a complex project for the supply of advanced military systems to a foreign country at a value of NIS.250 million, and in a claim for the enforcement of non-competition agreements, a claim with estimated financial implications of hundreds of millions of shekels; Michael also represented a leading firm of promoters in a lawsuit to enforce an agreement for the implementation of a TAMA 38 plan (National Master Plan) project in a scope of hundreds of millions of shekels; he provided representation to a leading infrastructure company in a claim relating to the construction of the southern section of the Trans-Israel Highway (Route 6); he acted for a prominent contracting company in a claim relating to the implementation of a real estate project in central Israel; and has consistently acted for both Israeli and foreign companies in international disputes, including at arbitrations by the ICC.
